AuStar Gold’s 97.5% owned Rose of Denmark (RoD) mine is situated in the Gaffney Creek area which is approximately 15 km from the current gold producing Morning Star mine. RoD has historically produced over 36,000 oz of gold and currently has (after limited drilling) a maiden JORC (Total Inferred Mineral Resource) of 40,249 T @ 6gT for 7,763 ounces of gold.  RoD is a long, predictable and largely unexplored dyke system which is sub-vertical and varies in width from 2.5 to 5.0 m and open at depth with mineralisation shown to extend in excess of 230 vertical metres.

There has been limited exploration to date, but recent drilling results such as 1.2 m @ 529 gT and 7.3m @ 153.5 gT, have been very encouraging giving the AuStar team confidence in RoD’s future potential as a minable resource feed for the current Morning Star processing plant.
